Nashville Squirrels

While in Nashville this weekend, my fam and I decided to hit up the Country Music Hall of Fame.

Obviously, one of the highlights of the museum was Taylor Swift's exhibit. One of the lowlights of the museum was most definitely this:

I don't even know what it is. I do know that I did not enjoy stumbling on it during my otherwise nice visit.

I know it may seem that I blog a little too often about squirrels, but I have to share one last squirrel story from the weekend. After we stumbled upon this horrid sculpture, my cousin ASE shared this special photo with me:

THAT right there is the imprint of a squirrel who fell out of a tree into wet cement.

As you can see by the foot imprints, the little guy got away.

Dang. If only it got stuck. That would have been a great pic.

Decided to grab a pack of Chewy Sprees while waiting for my (2 hour delayed. . .) flight on Friday.

And this is definitely not a normal Spree color.

Remedy: Lilly Pulitzer

I am so sick of my winter clothes. My staple uniform of J. Crew pixie pants, a sweater and boots is really getting old.

Though I am sure C will fill you in on Lilly's Spring 2011 Collection that debuted today, here's my top pick that I have my sights set on for when the weather warms up.

Winter / Spring Travels: C's Edition.

Reading R's post made me envious. And then I realized that I am going on trips the same time she is!

Tonight (I'm just going home to CT, but I really can't wait...and can't tell you how happy I am that they have already shoveled):

21 Days:

51 Days:

91 Days:

Sorry for traveling?

Happy Birthday Little Man!

My Little Man (Little Bro) turns the big 1-3 today!!! Imagine that! A teenager already. Seriously though, it kinda hurts inside to think about that. How can he be a teenager already?! I just don't even know where time went. And when I was trying to figure out what picture to post of him, I just couldn't narrow it down (he is obvi the cutest 13 year old ever, but was THAT much cuter when he was 6, 7 and 8). So a few gems to really express the Little Man's character!

He seems completely innocent...

But he is always scheming (especially when it comes to "drinking drugs" as he once called it)...

And once was the little lax star ever...

And still at age 13 eats like the slob he was when he was 7....

And an extra one for R, because I know how much she loves the J-E-T-S, Jets! Jets! Jets! (That's why she wanted her initial to be green)...

Happy 13th Birthday my Little Man!!!! See you tonight!!!

DIY Hipster Band

Steps to making your own hipster band, from my friend MM.

1. Go to Wikipedia. Hit “random”
...or just click here.
The first random Wikipedia article you get is the name of your band.

2. Go to Quotations Page and select "random quotations"
...or just click here.
The last four or five words of the very last quote on the page is the title of your first album.

3. Go to Flickr and click on “explore the last seven days”
...or just click here.
Third picture, no matter what it is, will be your album cover.

Here's what I came up with:

Band: Alejandro
Album: The Destinies of Stars
Cover: click here to see photo of album cover.

Interesting. . .

MM's was a little more "hipster" - just look at the emo photo. . .

Band: Ghineşti
Album: Miles From the Next Exit
Album cover:

Try it - what's your hipster band name, album and cover??

Ew. I knew I didn't like the Jets for a good reason.

Nails in Nashville

One shoulder black dresses are on tap for this weekend, so I am going to pick out something fun for my fingies.

Decisions, decisions.

Oh, and looks like a clear day for their wedding on Saturday! Yay!

JCrew Spring 2k11

I literally want everything in JCrew's Spring 2011 Line.

Now if I could only figure out when the line hits stores....

I'm watching the Today Show right now and they just announced the Oscar nominations.

I was so excited that Colin Firth, Helen Bonham Carter and Geoffrey Rush were all nominated for their amazing performances in The King's Speech. AND it is up for best movie!

Go out and see The King's Speech. It was unbelievable. Here's a sneak peek:

It's that time of year again. Lilly P spring line comes out tomorrow, and it's in a pop art theme...not sure what I think of it. Guess I will have to wait til tomorrow to see what they've come up with.

Stumbled Upon....

Alright, I didn't exactly stumble upon these by myself. T, from Toosteezy, just uploaded this article to C-Mac's facebook wall. I don't know if we have informed you of C-Mac's love for Four Loko (and if we haven't, you really shouldn't be surprised at all), but T has really got her figured out with this gift idea.

Looks like I know what I'm getting C-Mac for Valentine's Day!

Scuba Suit Workout

ACW has had her eye on a Lisa Marie Fernandez bathing suit for a while now. (These unique swimsuits are made of the same material as scuba suits). Priced at $300.00, she clearly was not splurging for this. Last week the one and only Natalie Bandeau Bikini became available on The Outnet and naturally, she went for the kill. The rest went as follows:

The swimsuit arrives to her office.

She brings it Friday night.

Tries the bathing suit on.

Comes out of the bathroom.

Single tear.

The bathing suit bottom is meant for a 1st grader. Seriously. That is no Brazilian cut. It is either a childs bathing suit or a thong. No question about it, adults should not be wearing this bathing suit.

ACW turned back into the bathroom to put her properly sized clothing back on.

The night proceeded with a movie and early sleep.

Fast forward to sunday afternoon. ACW sends herself to the gym at 2:00pm. Does not return home until 5:45pm. So distraught over the sight of her 25 year old body in a 5 year olds swimsuit, she worked her little butt off at the gym for nearly 4 hours.

While this bathing suit will never fit her (or anyone with self respect), I think it has successfully launched the start of a new workout regimine. The scuba suit has put her beach bod workout plan into effect, and ACW is determined to get that suit on her bod in time for hear beach debut!

If the Natalie suit doesn't work as a way to get you to the gym, I don't know what will.

Living in Siberia.

Ok. I know that R lives in Chi town where it gets to this absurd temperatures all winter, but I did not sign up for this. It is literally freezing outside. This Saturday I did the unthinkable and opened my blinds (I'm starting to think I live in a cave because I realized I had not fully opened them in over a month), only to find that not only is my window sill FILTHY with dust, but my window handles were covered in a lovely layer of ICE (see above). That's right. A solid layer of ice covering the entire handle of my window. Those are my finger prints. I touched it repeatidly because I was in utter disbelief that the inside of my bedroom was cold enough to produce a frost of that sort.

R, I bet your windows don't even get that cold!
And to make matters worse, the heat is not on in half of our office. Conveniently it is my half of the office. Every time someone walks by my desk, they announce "wow, it's so cold over here" or, "oh man, its so much colder on this side of the office." No shit, I can't feel my appendages and I have two pashminas wrapped around me.

Oh, and it is going to snow/rain for the next couple of days, AGAIN. Time to crank the heat and bundle up. I'm bringing a blanket to work for the rest of the week.

Shosh 2011.

I'm attending a conference for work all day today (and tomorrow), so for now I will leave you with these images from Shoshanna's Spring 2011 Collection.

Yes, please.

Bears vs. Packers. . .On a Whole New Level

Bears vs. Packers game tomorrow.

If you're a huge Bears or Packers fan, and are in the market for a wedding dress (ha), maybe consider a Bears or Packers wedding gown!!!

So glam!
